What a cake year!

So a year ago I started my cake design course. I had only really made cakes at home, so it was a huge leap. I think my early cakes were ummm poor lol. Over that year and wow now into my level two , I think I have got much better. So this is my cake year in pictures!

I think I have improved don't you ?

  2. Thanks Lisa I'm pleased you like the cakes. The last one took ages! It was a drawing and then I piped lines in royal icing at least three times for each bit. They were sooooo fragile and then it came out way too big for the cake lol. So I thought after all that work it was staying. When each bit was dry I stuck it together using royal icing phew . I do love to royal ice. I think I will do a real simple tutorial on it what do you think ?

  6. Stunning cakes! You must be thrilled, especially when looking back at your progress. Reminds me of a professional retreat I once read about where the course leader began by saying "when you all look back at the work you're doing that you think is the best you can do, you will realise how far you have come, and so therefore realise how far you can always come".

Thanks so much for linking to #AllAboutYou - hope you can come back next Tuesday!
