Then in late 1979 he said he was coming home! As he lived near to me he asked if he could meet me to say thanks for all the months of letters. My dad would not let me go out and meet him lol but made him come to our house.
Soon as I opened the door I knew he was special, he would so handsome and I loved his huge brown eyes.
To cut this very long story short within 4 weeks we were engaged and by July 1979 we were married.
It was hard as I had never been away from home but I wanted to be with him no matter where he went. We spent nearly two years in beautiful Devon and then back to our home town.
Later in 1981 our darling son Matthew arrived and five years later our beautiful daughter Natalie in 1986. So this year will be our 36th and I swear I have not idea where is all went. Life is a challenge at times but I am proud of the fact we are still together. So thanks to the local paper and more important thank you to Kevin for being my husband. Love you.
