Happy New Year to you all. I hope that Christmas and New Year was great and you had a fab time. We (that being Mr.jolly lol) had a very peaceful one, which was fine with us. Our daughter was having fun in Paris France and our son with his lovely wife.
I don't need to go out to have fun but I must admit its still fun to do so some times.
As you get older I think new year makes you more reflective about life. You think of the years gone past more than the years to come. You also think of those that you have lost !
I'm not sad as I have a delightful family and I am very lucky. I think this year will be great. I hope my children have a great year and one we can look back on. I did read about a great idea so I thought I would pass it on, I am going to try it for sure.
You get a jar and over the year as good things happen you write it down and put into the jar. It doesn't have to be big things it could just be a smile! Then next new year you open it up and read them. You can then see what great things have helped to make your year.
I may not have been partying last night but I had a lovely phone call from my children and one of my nephews, a nice glass of wine and fab fireworks on T.V. Much love to all my family and friends.
So Happy New Year and thanks for taking time to read my blog.
Lovely! I hope your jar is overflowing in 2013! x
