Ingredients
2 1/2 cups of self raising flour
2 1/2 cups of sugar
3/4 cup of vegetable oil
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup of milk
Method
Put all the things into a bowl and either mix with your mixer or by hand. There is no messing so it is dead easy. Don't over work it !
I just grease and dust with flour my tin or you can line with paper.
This amount will make either two 9 inch cakes or 24 cup cakes.
cook on around 150 for about 1 -1 1/2 hr fir bigger cake and 20 mins for cupcakes but test and make sure your knife comes out clean.
You can leave it like this or add fruit as you want, it always comes out fab.

ReplyDeleteIt's super easy Lou and comes out great every time. It also freezes very well. I did share a Christmas cake how to decorate post but I will do a general one as well. Xxxx
