Grandchildren , Family and Happy Smiles

Grandchildren, family and happy smiles really does say it all for me. My children are grown up now and they are truly the thing I am most proud of. Both of them have turned into wonderful adults and both now have wonderful partners and family. It only seems a second ago when I thought I would not have children. Those dark days of so wanting a baby seem light years ago. We got married in 1979 and wanted a baby straight away, but fate had other ideas! In fact our son Matthew did not come along till 1981 and he truly was so wanted and loved.
His sister Natalie was born in 1986 and our family was complete. We had lots of fun days and lots of happy smiles over the years.
Then the circle began again and in 2014 our grandson Nathan was born. He was so tiny and perfect and it was a strange feeling seeing your first grandchild. I could see his dad at that age and it only seemed like a second ago.

Matthew, Karen and Natthan
This past year has flown and he has now grown into a proper little boy with a cheeky grin. I hope I get lots of years to see him grow up . He has two wonderful , caring parents so I think he will get a great start in life.

Just a week after Nathan was born our daughter Natalie told us the news she was also having a baby!
We were in shock as we had only just got our first grandchild. As time went on we were delighted to find out she was having a girl. How lucky were we a grandson and a granddaughter in one year lol.
Our granddaughter Grace was born in Jan 2015 five weeks early . She was tiny only 4lbs 11 oz but totally perfect in every way. I was lucky as I was there at the delivery so I got to see her born. It was very special.
She has grown so much even with her rocky start and fast coming up on her first birthday. She is a very happy little baby and like Nathan has a cheeky grin. Her mum and dad Natalie and Ian are such good parents and she is very lucky to have them. Her mum is a vocalist and its is so funny when she sings as Grace loves it . The name is also very special as my mum who died many years ago was called Grace.

I hope you are getting lots of Grandchildren, Family and Happy Smiles this weekend, and you enjoyed seeing my pictures .
