One worktop is in and I am really pleased as they look really great. They are all oak and have taken my husband Kevin hours to work on. They had to be cut and sanded and then lots of coats of oil to bring out the colour. They are very heavy worktops as well but thanks to my son Matthew who came and helped my husband lift them . Think you will agree it looks great.
We did have a stove accident on Sunday! We had the stove connected and on Sunday thought we would cook our first dinner. We put it all on and about an hour in we heard a terrible crash. My husband raced into the kitchen to find the whole of the inner oven door had exploded . We had hot glass in millions of tiny bits all over the floor!!!!! We have not idea except it must have been faulty. So on Monday we have the company coming out to replace the door. So I did have a stove but briefly lol.
There is still a stack of mess but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!
Oh I forgot we had so much work we had to employ a helper! So Mia cat got the job lol
Its looking lovely Jill, gorgeous view while you wash up now xxx
